WHO IS THIS WEBINAR SERIES FOR?
This three part webinar series is designed for mission leaders and teams navigating East Asian cultural and generational differences that can often lead to misunderstanding or conflict. Using a biblical peacemaking framework, participants will be equipped to build peace, trust and reconciliation in relationships. The content is also highly relevant for anyone involved in East Asian cross-cultural ministry, whether in a local church or serving overseas.
WHAT IS THE DELIVERY FORMAT?
This webinar series will run over 3 consecutive Saturdays, delivered live online via Zoom. All sessions will be 90-minutes in length and will be recorded and made available to registered participants.

WHAT'S COVERED
SESSION 1: Busting the Myths: God’s Truth for Cultural Conflict
Culturally shaped “rules” about conflict can influence how we react and sometimes this can stop us from living out the gospel. This session uncovers four common conflict myths common in East Asian (and many other) cultures, explores their biblical alternatives and equips participants to respond with wisdom and grace.
SESSION 2: Face to Face: Restoring Honour, Building Trust
In many cultures including many East Asian, “saving face” is central to relationships. Misunderstandings around this can deepen hurt or cause avoidance. This session explores the biblical concept of “face” and how to engage in ways that preserve dignity, strengthen trust and open doors for honest and healing conversations.
SESSION 3. Honest Conversations that Cross Cultures and Generations
Even in loving communities, care can get lost in translation. This session equips leaders with practical tools for navigating differences—whether between cultures or generations so conversations build connection rather than conflict. Application of principles will be made specifically to East Asian cultures.
