Responding to conflict God’s way
Conflict is part of life. Whether it’s a disagreement at work, tension in your family, or a clash of personalities, it can feel overwhelming. Yet God invites us to approach these moments differently, not with fear or frustration, but with His wisdom and guidance.
The Bible reminds us:
“If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone”.
(Romans 12:18, NIV)
Peace isn’t about changing others; rather it is often about how we respond. By relying on Jesus, the ultimate peacemaker, we can navigate conflict with humility, compassion, and patience.
When tension arises, pause and ask: Where is God in this situation? How can I glorify him through my words and actions? Listening, acknowledging the other person’s perspective, and praying for guidance are practical ways his Spirit works in us, turning frustration into opportunities for restoration and growth.
Handled God’s way, conflict can ripple beyond the immediate situation, fostering reconciliation, respect, and stronger relationships. With his help, it is possible – and it reflects Christ’s love to those around us.
